Game Of Patios
Art Director & Game Designer

Art Direction & Game Design: Worldbuilding, Narrative, Characters, Dialogue, Player Progression, Concept Art, Character Animation and Assets of Game of Patios. A cozy-builder with puzzles and culturally inspired game, publicly funded by Cordoba Digital Lab and the Cordoba Institute for Development and Employment.
Established the initial client relationship and delivered a comprehensive video pitch within one week, defining the core game concept and overall design direction -including character concepts, menus, mini-games, and animations- which secured client approval and greenlit full Demo development.
Assembled a talented team -Xisco Romero as background artist and Gustavo Chico as programmer and designer- to bring this local based game to life, defining the player progression system and supervising high quality artistic and narrative standards of the client.
Led the artistic, narrative, and branding direction to deliver a visually and conceptually cohesive game, strategically designed to reflect and promote key values such as cultural preservation, intergenerational storytelling, community engagement, and Córdoba’s local identity, ensuring both artistic impact and commercial potential.
I advocated for in-depth field research, visiting Córdoba’s residents and asking them firsthand about their lived experiences. Based on these visits, I thoroughly investigated the local architectural styles and art history, ensuring that all elements authentically reflected Córdoba’s cultural and artistic heritage and resonated with the local community.
Throughout the development, I worked closely with an archaeologist to integrate historical research into dialogue, ensuring an engaging player experience grounded in accurate historical facts.
Within a month we developed a playable demo, culminating in public presentations such as Canal Sur's EnRed: Local TV interview, Córdoba's Library pitch presentation and the Spanish National Library in Madrid, validating the project in cultural and educational circles.
